  1. Elephant Education
    1. The future of elephants is in the hands of children!   Through sharing what we learn about elephants with children from around Khao Yai and elsewhere in Thailand, we hope that they too will love these animals and take an active part in their conservation.
    2. Over the past years we have run many educational activities for students from around Thailand and even overseas.
  2. Environmental Education
    1. In Schools: We go into schools around the edge of Khao Yai and use interactive exploration activities and slide shows to encourage the students to care about their environment and wildlife. We provide regular in-school and field trip environmental education experiences for the schools around Khao Yai. We will work with teachers from around this area to develop an environmental education curriculum and help provide teacher training.
    2. In the forest: we take students from schools all around Thailand into Khao Yai enabling them to discover about plants, wildlife and the intricate relationships that make the forest ecosystem work.
    3. We will also run multi-day environmental education camps for students from Thailand and elsewhere on request.
  3. Mobile Displays
    1. We take our mobile displays and videos to events around Khao Yai – a great opportunity to meet local people, tourists and encourage them to find out about elephants and join in with conservation of these animals.
    2. We have taken our mobile display to Children’s Day events where many students came to find out more about the elephants and chat with our team.
  4. Public Awareness Raising
    1. WERF is very proactive in working with Thai television channels to raise public awareness about wild elephants.
    2. Raising awareness about wild elephants through power point presentations for tourists, student groups, study tours and other groups.
    3. Newspaper Articles
