Introduction to TERF Activities and Events

TERF work closely with various surrounding conserved forest communities throughout Thailand to continuously study the human elephant conflict, as well as cooperates with the respective communities and other NGOs to jointly find solutions and to carry out possible prevention methods in such problems including; the reduction of impacts from elephants on the farmers’ cultivation.

HEC survey in Khao Chamao National Park, Chanthaburi province, July, 2007

Khao Chamao National Park is one of WERF's target site. To collect basic information about HEC in the target area for solving the conflicts, WERF staff went to the site to talk with villagers affected by the problem. Besides collecting data, the team also discussed with the villagers about the ways to deal with the conflicts.
