Media
The promotion of the importance of Elephants to Society and Environment of Thailand will come through a full understanding of both wild and domestic elephants’ conservation particularities, and TERF will be an important part of this process, acting mainly through its Media Projects.
TV & Documentaries
TERF's TV & Documentaris Project has as mission to reach a broader audience using multimedia thus promoting Thai Elephants, TERF and its Vision and Projects to a further extent. In a nutshell this projects has as its objetives and target accomplishments:
- To produce documentaries and TV features which act as educational tools, following the 14 didatic points of Thai Elephant Curriculum Project
- To demonstrate ideas and present research on through different mediums thus reaching a broader audience
- To promote conservation and interest in environmental issues through entertaining, informative and engaging productions
- To make the material produced acessible to schools, universities and libraries all over Thailand
- To produce a promotional video highlighting TERF’s Projects
- To produce 14 didatic short documentaries following the structure of the Thai Elephant Curriculum
- To selectively distribute productions in order that the target audience is met
Bulletin & Publications
TERF's Bulleting & Publications Project has as mission to reach a broader audience written material promoting Thai Elephants, TERF and its Vision and Projects to a further extent. In a nutshell this projects has as its objetives and target accomplishments:
- To produce Bulletins, Reports and Newsletters which act as educational and informational tools, following TERF’s Progress
- To demonstrate ideas and present research through different print mediums thus reaching a broader audience
- To promote conservation and interest in environmental issues through entertaining, informative and engaging publications
- To make the material produced acessible to schools, universities and libraries all over Thailand, and sell it to the general public
- To raise funds to continue production of bulletin series of magazines, printed quarterly.
- To gain public and academic interest in publications through collaborative features .
- To selectively distribute productions in order that the target audience is met
TERF's Exhibitions
TERF's Exhibitions Project has as mission To promote TERF’s Vision, Projects and Past Activities through elaboration of Multimedia Exhibitions and Displays. More specifically, this project's objetives and target accomplishments are:
- To set up at Thai Elephant Center for Conservation a permanent Exhibition making use of all Multimedia forms accessible, presenting up to date information on TERF’s Projects and both past and scheduled Activities.
- To develop a set of mobile Exhibition Panels in English and Thai to be set up in Seminars, Panel Discussions and major public events related to Elephants and Environmental Conservation issues.
- To develop a standard Exhibition Panel format, in English and Thai, to be offered to temples, schools, universities, hotels and institutions within the network of TERF and its supporting Foundations and Groups.
- To build at TECC an Exhibition Center aimed at offering the public an up to date and broad understanding of TERF’s Vision and Projects, its latest Activities and Achievements and fundraising.
- To set up and present in all TERF’s activities outside TECC the mobile Exhibition Panels.
- To distribute to all temples, schools, universities, hotels and institutions within the network of TERF and its supporting Foundations and Groups standard Exhibition Panel, and in the surroundings of Khao Yai National Park.
